On Friday 4th March, Iain Stewart MP visited Milton Keynes Theatre in Central Milton Keynes.
Iain met with Alex and Emma from MK Theatre to have a tour and learn more about the destination.
Iain had the opportunity to take centre stage in the auditorium and learn more about MK Theatre being a tier-1 destination for musicals, productions and performances, attracting some of the biggest names including the upcoming Les Miserables.
Having not long finished the pantomime season, Iain was impressed knowing that the Milton Keynes pantomime was not cancelled once and that confidence grew for people to return and watch performances.
Iain heard about how MK Theatre are helping youngsters in Milton Keynes to develop their performance skills through their Creative Learning teams, giving individuals a safe space to express themselves and explore different ideas.
Also, Iain was pleased to hear that MK Theatre have utilised the Kickstart Scheme and the Furlough scheme, helping Milton Keynes residents gain experience in a workplace/continue getting paid during the pandemic.
