On Friday 19 April, Iain Stewart MP visited Sir Herbert Leon Academy in Bletchley.
During his visit, Iain met with Senior Leadership Team: Nabila, Damian and Roy.
Iain heard about the work being done to improve the school for its students and staff, which has consequently seen bullying decrease, suspension rates go down and, ultimately, attendance rates increasing.
In particular, Iain welcomed the news that since Easter the subject timetable is now fully staffed by teachers, instead of relying on temporary/supply teachers.
Also, Iain had the opportunity to meet with the Year 7 Youth Voice Group about their experiences and thoughts about the school.
All of the Year 7s would recommend Sir Herbert Leon Academy to their friends.
Following this visit, Iain is connecting the Senior Leadership Teams of Sir Herbert Leon Academy and Newton Leys Primary School to see what can be done to increase local parent's confidence in sending their children to the local Secondary School.
