On Friday 26th November, Iain Stewart MP was invited to visit the Blue Light Hub, in Ashland, to have a tour of the completed facility.
The Blue Light Hub is now home to teams from the Buckinghamshire Fire and Rescue Service, South Central Ambulance Service and Thames Valley Police.
This new facility enables the emergency services to work together efficiently and collectively in response to an emergency, anywhere in Milton Keynes.
Whilst having a look around the Blue Light Hub, Iain met with the different emergency service teams who are stationed at the Blue Light Hub.
The common message from the team members Iain met was that they have found the collaborative approach to responding to emergencies to be extremely positive.
By coming together under one rood, Iain was pleased to learn that the teamwork has been beneficial to each emergency service and it has improved team morale at the Blue Light Hub.
Also, Iain was impressed to hear that the teams have been help one another by offering training to colleagues and sharing data, all of which will only benefit residents of Milton Keynes.
