On Friday 19 April, Iain Stewart MP visited Longevity Gym located at Windmill Hill Golf Club in Bletchley.
Iain met with the founder of Longevity, Neil, to learn more about the gym, its philosophy and have a tour of the facility.
Aimed at those aged 50 years old and upwards (but not limited to), Neil explained how working out 2/3 times a week on a tailored 12 weeks workout programme lasting under 30 minutes can reduce one's body biological age by 7 years.
With a younger body biological age, individuals will have better body function and mobility as well as feeling more fit and healthy. All this reduces the demand on the NHS.
Iain was shown the gym facility and the wide range of machines available to gym users, all of which are automatically set to the correct height and weight for the user when they swipe their electronic wristband.
Also, Iain saw the assessment machines, working out each gym user's body measurements including their metabolism, weight and height to tailor each workout programme for the individual.
