On Friday 15 October, Iain Stewart MP visited Royal Mail's Brinklow Delivery Office.
During his visit, Iain met with the team from Royal Mail to learn about their efforts to reduce carbon emissions.
It was shared with Iain that the Brinklow site has 36 electric vehicles with a 270 mile range, and they are on course to be fully electric by 2030.
Iain was invited to have a test drive in one of the electric vehicles to see first-hand how the vehicle drives.
Also, whilst at the Delivery Office, Iain saw how the mail distribution system worked with letters coming into the facility, being put into walk routes and tasked to individual postmen.
