On Friday 26 January, Iain Stewart MP, alongside Ben Everitt MP and Johnny Luk, visited the Bus Shelter MK.
The three Prospective Conservative Parliamentary Candidates for the new Milton Keynes constituencies were invited to meet with Homeless Link and Bus Shelter MK to discuss homelessness and it being a priority for the next Government.
It was an opportunity for Iain, Ben and Johnny to highlight the work being done in this area by the Government as well as the funding the MK MPs have secured for Milton Keynes to tackle rough sleeping and homelessness.
However, one person sleeping rough or being homeless is one too many.
That is why Iain, Ben and Johnny discussed Homeless Link's homelessness manifesto covering their 4 asks of the next Government:
- Everyone has a safe, secure, suitable home in which to thrive
- Every arm of government working together and playing their part
- A homelessness system that works for all
- Sustained investment preventing and ending homelessness - for good
