On Friday 27th May, Iain Stewart MP welcomed the opportunity to visit the newly opened Chaffron Centre at Milton Keynes College with Ben Everitt MP.
The Chaffron Centre is home to the SkillsHub:MK, an initiative that aims to enhance the strategic partnerships between employers, businesses and post-16 training & education providers.
This initiative has been backed by £3.5 million worth of funding from the Government.
Iain had a tour of the facility to see what is on offer and available for students and local businesses. From breakout rooms to large event space and kitchen space and hot-desking space, the facilities are designed for students and businesses to come together and create working relationships.
Also, Iain had the opportunity to sit down with the Principal of Milton Keynes College, Dr Julie Mills OBE, to have a catch up on what is going on at the Institute of Technology, Bletchley Campus and the Chaffron Way campus.
