Milton Keynes Conservatives are set to launch a new business club to better engage with the thriving local business community.
Milton Keynes is one of the fastest growing part of the UK and has developed a strong reputation as a leader for innovation. MK is particularly a front-runner in the UK for technology and is home to numerous start-ups in the sector.
The local Conservative party wants to tap in to those businesses and encourage them to share their experiences of Milton Keynes and how the Council and central Government can better help support them.
The launch of the MK Conservatives Business Club will be on the 30th November at Harben House, Newport Pagnell with Robin Walker MP, Parliamentary Under Secretary of State, Department for Exiting the EU as the main guest. Robin has business engagement and market access as part of his ministerial portfolio.
Chairman of the Milton Keynes Conservative Association, Festus Akinbusoye said:
“I am delighted we are in a position to launch a business club. They have been hugely successful up and down the country and with our thriving economy here in MK it is right that we bring together all the best business minds and ensure they are heard by policy makers.
“Our fast growing economy is not a given and it is important the business community have somewhere to share their concerns and ideas on what the local council and central Government can do to support them.
“With two Conservative MPs and the largest Council group in Milton Keynes, we can be a voice for the business community. Growing our economy is the only way we can get the taxes we need to deliver the world class public services residents deserve.
