4. MK Festival of Running

I went along to the Milton Keynes Half Marathon and Festival of Running on Sunday the 15th of March to see of the runners at the start of their races.

There were 4 races taking place on the day. The different distances were:

  • 5K
  • 10K
  • Half Marathon
  • 20 mile.

All the races started at Centre Milton Keynes, not too far from the Xscape building, and it was it was great to see the roads closed to accommodate the course around the City.

The race allowed participants the opportunity to see both sides of Milton Keynes whilst they ran. It enabled the runners to take in the natural scenery as well as the urban developments of the city.

This event is becoming more popular with runners as they use it as an opportunity to prepare for other races including the London Marathon.

I want to send out my congratulations to all the racers who completed the race and achieved their goals; a new personal best time, using it as preparation or just to finish the race.
