I met with the Bletchley Indoor Bowls Club at the Bletchley Leisure indoor rink to learn more about the sport and have a go myself.
I want to extend my thanks to the Committee members who came along and spoke to me about the club, explaining why they enjoy the sport so much.
Whilst I was there, I gave the sport a go with the President, Alan, who gave me some coaching and helped me to better understand the sport.
The skill of bowls is having to understand the bias of the wood as well as perfecting the weight, and I did not fare too badly for a beginner.
Having enjoyed my experience of the sport, I am considering petitioning for a Parliamentary Bowls team to be set up.
