Across Buckingham & Bletchley, we have an abundance of beautiful green spaces that we all rely on for a range of purposes – leisure, exercise, flood defences and farming. However, these green spaces are at risk to overdevelopment and not being properly supported. That is why I will fight to ensure we do everything possible to protect our green spaces, ensuring they are accessible to all and properly maintained. Also, I will continue to support our local farming community so they are able to flourish and be successful.
So far, I have been able to achieve:
- Campaigned with local resident groups, Parish Councils and Town Councils to fight over-expansion
- Welcomed the Government’s Back British Farming announcement to support our local farming community
- Supported local residents in local flood risk neighbourhoods have access to protection
As your MP, I want to go further by:
- Continuing to scrutinise and oppose developments that are not right for our local community
- Supporting farmers and organisations who look after our green spaces and do so much for our local community and economy
- Explore the possibility of an Alan Turing Memorial Garden
