On Thursday 21 September, Iain Stewart MP visited Kents Hill Park School.
The school has recently been named as a finalist in the Rolls-Royce STEM award and sees them receive £5000 and mentor support to bring their project to life.
Iain met with the Head of Physics and the STEM project lead, Mr Mark Lawrenson, to learn more about their project and explore ways in which he could assist as the local Member of Parliament.
It was also discussed about creating a STEM hub in Milton Keynes. Iain is keen to support this and will be writing to various stakeholders to see what opportunities are out there.
Also, Iain had the opportunity to chat with some of the students who are involved in the project to learn what has motivated them into STEM and their career aspirations.
