On Monday 2nd August, Iain Stewart MP visited Midsummer Place to see the MumPod and the team behind it.
Iain learned that the MumPod provides a space for women to breastfeed away from home.
Iain was able to go inside the prototype unit on display in the shopping centre.
The MumPod unit is equipped with::
- Easy clean surfaces and sanitiser station
- Secure locking mechanism and booking App
- Comfortable seating with extendable footrest
- Drop down table
- Wheelchair accessible
- Sound dampening construction
- Plug and charger points
- Housing for a Milk Fridge
Following our visit to the MumPod, Ben Everitt MP and myself have written to the House of Commons Speaker, Rt Hon Sir Lindsay Hoyle MP, to see if this is something we could get on to the Parliamentary Estate.
