On Friday 25th March, Iain Stewart MP visited the site of the new Winslow Train Station.
The visit was an opportunity for Iain to have an update on the work of the East West Rail between Bletchley and Bicester whilst seeing the work that was going on that day.
Iain was pleased to hear of the great progress that is being made in the construction of the line between Oxford and Cambridge, passing through Bletchley.
Whilst hearing of the plans for the new train station, Iain was able to tour the site and see the work being undertaken on the day.
On the visit, Iain learned of the barriers being installed along the line that would absorb the noise and vibrations from the train, minimising the impact on local residents.
Iain also had the opportunity to go for a drive along the track to see the engineering work that is going on along the line at various points.
