The population of Milton Keynes is growing as more people move to the area to benefit from the prosperity and opportunities this city has. However, you deserve access to good healthcare at a time that is convenient to you. That is why I am working with Government Ministers and Milton Keynes University Hospital (MKUH) to get extra investment in our NHS.
We have made the following progress on this Our Plan point:
- Secured funding for a new Women's & Children's Hospital with foundation work taking place
- Secured a new Pathway Unit, the Maple Centre, at MKUH which is now operational and provides same day emergency care for patients with a new 26 bed ward
